12 random facts about me pt.2

IMG_0962
Hi!

The last time I got down and really personal on my blog was more than 6 months ago when I published the first post in which I talked about just some random facts about me! As a lot of you seemed to liked the idea- I got so much positive feedback and such lovely comments ( some of them truly melted my heart- I have the best readers!). Therefore, as a lot of time has come by, I thought of why not to make a second part of this kind of post and again get a bit more real and personal with you! In the first post I told some more basic facts about me, but this time I decided to dig a bit deeper and share with you some more quirky and interesting facts ( I guess a bit more random!) That is why I will not post 20 facts as the post would be too long, but 12 facts as I am writing a bit more in each of the fact! And if you are a tiny bit as nosy as I am I think you'll like this post! :)

LV

#1 I have broken only one bone in my body so far ( in my 22 year old life)- it is the little finger on my right foot. The way I broke was really foolish I was playing with my dog and accidentally hit my leg on the corner of a chair. At first I didn't feel anything, but then I looked at my toe and I saw that the one of the finger isn't straight- it was really bent on the right side !I was really shocked and a bit overwhelmed! I had to wear a cast for 2 months ( the break was really nasty) and to walk with crutches for 3 months!

#2 My love for fashion and photography started with my best friend and our silly photo shoots we had ( I think it all started when we were 13ish or something). I am not going to show you the earliest pictures- they are way, way too embarassing, but I'll show you some others :)

#3 My favorite meal definitely is Spaghetti with Bolognese sauce. For the first time I tried it in Italy and I have been loving it since!
Pirmo reizi es to nobaudīju Itālijā un nekas cits tam vēl joprojām nespēj līdzināties!

#4 I really suck at any winter sports. I don't quite like them either, okay, well, maybe I do like riding with sleighs down the hill and having a snowball fight fight my 6 year old niece. But otherwise, I really suck at skiing and skating, you have no idea! :D
Man patiešām nepadodas ziemas sporta veidi. Un ja godīgi, man tie arī nepārāk patīk, nu vienīgais man patīk braukt ar kamaniņām vai arī pikoties ar sešgadīgo brāļameitu!

#5 I am still obsessed with some video games and since my parents gifted me a really great pc that finally meets the requirements of new games, I can play games like The Sims 4, NBA 2K15, Tropico 4 and more. Mostly I like strategy and simulation games ( I cannot wait till the new Civilization game will come out)
Mani favorīti pašlaik ir The Sims 4, NBA 2K15, Tropico 4 utt. Lielākoties man patīk stratēģijas un simulācijas spēles ( Es nevaru sagaidīt, kad iznāks jaunākā Civilāzijas spēle)

#6 Not only fashion and photography are my hobbies, but I really love traveling! I have been fortunate enough to travel to different European countries- I have been in Sweden, Estonia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Monaco, UK and several times in Canary islands ( Spain). There are still so, so many places I want to visit- I think that traveling is the most rewarding experience you can have!

#7 I constantly play fashion police in my head. Most often I do it when I am on the bus and driving through the city ( in order for me to get to my work I have to drive 40 minutes from one side of Riga to another). I like watching people and judging ( definitely not in a bad way!) the clothes and accessories they are wearing! A lot of times I get a lot of inspiration from seeing a great outfit!
Es ļoti bieži spēlēju modes policiju savā galvā. Visbiežāk to sanāk darīt tad, kad esmu autobusā un braucu cauri pilsētai ( lai nokļūtu darbā, man ir jābrauc 40 minūtes no viena Rīgas gala uz citu). Man patīk pētīt cilvēkus un novērtēt to koptēlu- drēbes, frizūru aksesuārus utml. Ļoti bieži var smelties lielisku iedvesmu, redzot kādu lielisku outfitu!

#8 I love the first breeze of wind when I step out of an airplane. It gives me an odd feeling of satisfaction that I am embracing something new- a new experience, new adventure.
Man ļoti patīk pirmā vēja vēsma, kad izkāpju no lidmašīnas. Mani pārņem dīvaina sajūta, ka es tūliņ piedzīvošu kaut ko jaunu ( jaunu piedzīvojumu, jaunu pieredzi)

#9 When I get a bit cold or chilly my nails instantly turn from rosy pink to really blue. I know that it is scientific and connected with blood flow, but in the circle of my friends and relatives nobody has this kind of peculiarity
Tad kad man paliek pat pavisam nedaudz auksti vai vēsi, mani nagi no rozīgiem uzreiz pārvēršas par ziliem- es zinu, ka to var zinātniski izskaidrot ar asinsriti, bet manā ģimenes vai draugu lokā nevienam nav novērota šāda īpatnība!

#10 When I was about 12 years old I joined in a modeling school. I went there for approximately 2 years. At first I was over the moon as I thought that  I am going to be a real professional model etc. But in reality the attitude towards girls was pretty awful there. The couches were unpleasant and sometimes really, really mean. For example, to girls they said things like: "You have gained some weight and we both know you cannot fit in your old jeans", "Why do you walk like you have buckets in your hands" and so on. Which maybe in the fashion/modeling world is very common, but if you are a developing young girl it can be really traumatizing to your self esteem! And that's why I quit, I am not really a quitter as I am very stubborn and once I start something- I'll finish it. But definitely not this time.
Kad man bija apmēram 12 gadi es sāku iet modeļu skolā. Principā es tur gāju apmēram 2 gadus. No sākuma es biju tiešām lielā sajūsmā, man likās, ka tagad būšu profesionāla modele utt.

#11 I have heard people say that at first when they meet me they think I am cold and even snobbish ( I guess I have that kind of face expression (?) ). But in reality I couldn't be more opposite to that. In fact I think of myself as a big goofball. I think I have a pretty great sense of humour (haha who doesn't think like that about themselves? :D )
Es esmu dzirdējusi, ka cilvēki pirmo reizi mani satiekot uzskata, ka es esmu auksta un pat snobiska ( man laikam ir tādas sejas izteiksmes (?) ). Bet realitātē es nevarētu būt vairāk pretēja tam. Patiesībā es sevi uzskatu par diezgan smieklīgu cilvēku un man liekas, ka man ir diezgan forša humora izjūta ( lai gan, protams, kurš gan tā par sevi nedomā par sevi? :D )

#12 One of my all time favorite movies is a french movie The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (Le scaphandre et le papillon). It is just one of those movies that gives you so many things to think about long after the movie has ended. Briefly, the movie is a true story based on the Elle editor Jean-Dominique Bauby who suffers a stroke and has to live with an almost totally paralyzed body; only his left eye isn't paralyzed and it was the only way he could communicate with others. I did cry a few times ( especially in the scene where his father calls him)! I would highly suggest you to see it if you haven't already!
Filmas laikā es raudāju dažas reizes ( it sevišķi tajā filmas momentā, kad viņam piezvanīja viņa tēvs). Es šo filmu pavisam noteikti iesaku noskatīties!

I hope you liked this post and if you found something that is relevant to you I would definitely love to know! And let me know if you would like to read another part as I still have so much to share with you! :)

  10. Haha I can definitelly realte to the winter sports and the fashion police! And I can't believe the modelling school was that nasty to girls at such a young girls. Though maybe it was a way to show them how it will be in the real world once they start working as models for real, so at least you had time to quit before things could get serious...
