Soviet nuclear missile base Zeltini

zeltini-soviet-missile-base
In my last outfit post I already mentioned the fact that me, my family and my boyfriend went to a former Soviet nuclear missile base called Zeltini.
I didn't have a previous knowledge of this place, but I can surely say that it was a very, very interesting excursion (with a tour guide) not only in the former missile base, but also in a small museum of USSR that was nearby! I  have always been quite fascinated with historical / military / political places like this, especially from the USSR times ! In addition, history was my favorite subject in high school - I even seriously considered studying history as a University major! Therefore, this experience was truly quite unique and as I said - very interesting, and it definitely made me feel like a part of Latvia's history! If you ever have a chance to be in Latvia, I would strongly recommend visiting this place! But as I suppose not all of you will ever have this chance, I decided to make a short blog post in which I shared few snaps that I took!

LV

    1. Noteikti iesaku - it sevišķi gida pavadībā, kurš var vairāk izstāstīt gan par pašu bāzi, gan arī interesantu vēsturi!
