Romantic bird print dress

Reviewing Dresslily clothing
Dresses are surely one of my most worn items this summer and it actually kind of surprised me because I had always thought of myself as more of a jeans and shorts gal. But I guess time has passed by and I might have not even noticed that my style has changed. Partly because I am getting older and my thoughts and values are changing and also, partly, because I have dresscode in my workplace. In one of my previous blog posts I already mentioned that I could have never thought that my workplace could influence my style and the way I look at clothes and fashion in general. Even though, I am only 24 years old, I am kind of becoming more old fashioned (if you can call it like that) and don’t think that tight fitting, short or with a deep cleavage clothes are more stylish, beautiful or sexy. I think that you have to have balance and that there are things that people like more or less at a certain age. Though, in no way I am bashing tight fitting clothes or anything even remotely connected with them. I believe that the main principle of dressing is the fact that you like what you are wearing (no matter what other people say) and that you feel comfortable and satisfied with yourself.
Since at the start of this blog post I did talk about dresses, I have to mention the gorgeous brid print dress from Dresslily. The first moment when I saw this dress I had a click! in my head and I knew that it just has to be mine. First thing that I saw was the beautiful design and style and the super adorable bird print. I think that elegant femininity just radiates from this dress. I wore the dress for the first time on last weekend when me and my mom went to a fashion exhibition and later when me and my boyfriend went to the theater. The dress was perfectly suited for this kind of a day and, honestly, made me feel beautiful, romantic and feminine. As I already mentioned, the main thing about clothing are the feelings, right?

  3. I love the print and the fabrics of your dress!
Just like you were, I'm more a jeans girl and I feel often too chic in dresses.
Maybe that'll change too over the years :)

I was surprised to see myself reaching more skirts and dresses rather than jeans! But I guess, it will change a bit in fall and winter, because lately comfort always comes first for me! :P

  12. When it comes to the main topic of this post,I can totally relate to you dear Maddie! Even I'm 32 and (much) older than you I do agree that in a certain way are style ages with us. It's not like I don't get people that at the age of 50 like to dress in Mickey tops as long as that top suits their body and sence of style. I personally don't like to see a 50 year old wearing a mini skirt bought in New Yorker (just as an example). She cam wear a shorter skirt but maybe in a different color or material or shape... That is just the way I see things...

When it comes to your look... your dress is amazing and to me, you will always be my blogger princess! You have that aura of sophistication and you always look like you are wearing something worth a lot of money (even though you are having an item bought on eBay)... Just beautiful! :***

    Kisses my dear!

    1. Nah, you are definitely not much older than me! :) Well, at least I don't exactly feel our age difference which I think is a really great thing! :) I do agree and disagree with you in ways, because, yes a 50 year old in mini skirt could look a bit weird, but I am all for people expressing themselves in whatever way they want because it only matters what you think or how you feel. Would I wear a mini skirt at age of 50? Probably not, but if they like it that way - I am completely fine with that :)

A blogger princess? :) That is the sweetesr compliment ever! Many kisses to you Ivana - you definitely made me smile & blush a bit this evening!
Hahah & you probably know, I do love finding a good Ebay bargain! :)

      Have a great week, sweetie!

  13. I know what you mean about the workplace dictating your style - I work in a more conservative office (politics) and because of this, I end up buying a lot more suits than I ever wore. I think showing off your personality through your work wardrobe is a good way to break up corporate style though.
I love this dress - the bird print mesh is super cute and the color is so romantic and pretty!

    1. Thankfully as I am working at back office the dresscode isn't completely strict and I am allowed to wear other clothing than suits, but still it was definitely challenging to switch from jeans to classic pants or pencil skirts. Though, since a year has passed, I have found a way to incorporate my own style in the more conservative environment the insurance business is :)
Thank you for the compliment dear Deborah! :)
