I meant to write this blog post quite a while ago, but there were certain things that kind of prevented me of doing so, for example, the fact that I was traveling around the Baltics for the last two weeks and the fact that I totally forgot to take my external hard drive disc with me when I went to Tallinn. So with that being said, I have to mention that these pictures were taken a couple weeks ago when the weather was much warmer and you were able to exercise outside in a this kind of an outfit. Regardless, I do believe that if you'd wear a long sleeve top instead of the short sleeve one, the outfit would still be very season appropriate. 
This article has been made in collaboration with a polish sportswear brand 4F and I am wearing the vest and the leggings from their new fall/winter collection as well as the top and the sneakers from their previous collection. I truly like their new collection and I am glad that I had the chance to style it together with items that I simply cannot imagine not having in my workout routine.
As I mentioned in one of my September posts, one of my fall goals was to start a healthier and more active lifestyle, therefore, the activity I picked up was running. Even though, my running rhythm was a bit unstable during the two weeks of traveling, for the last two months I've been running for three times a week. I won't lie to you when I'll say that the start was very hard and there still are days when I practically have to drag myself out of the house. Yet the feeling of achievement and the fact that I can reach the goals I've set, definitely motivates me to come home from work and go for a run more and more each time. Plus, I love the fact that the feeling of achievement doesn't leave me the whole evening and puts me in a much better mood, and as it turns out running is also a great way to cope with stress I experience at work. It's a win-win.

Šim bloga ierakstam vajadzēja jau tapt jau kādu laiku atpakaļ, bet, pirmkārt, aktīvā ceļošana pa Baltijas valstīm nedaudz aizkavēja manus plānus, kā arī braucienā uz Tallinu aizmirsu paņemt līdzi ārējo cieto disku, līdz ar to nekādā veidā neizdevās piekļūt pie šī raksta bildēm. Piebildīšu to, ka šīs bildes ir tapušas pāris nedēļas atpakaļ, kad laiks noteikti bija siltāks un arī saulaināks. Bet uzskatu, ka uzvelkot topu ar garām piedurknēm un pa virsu siltu vesti, šis sporta tērps vēl joprojām ir sezonai ļoti atbilstošs. Šis raksts ir tapis sadarbībā ar poļu sporta apģērbu un aksesuāru zīmolu 4F, jo man mugurā ir lietas gan no jaunās, aktuālās 4F rudens/ziemas kolekcijas (veste un legingi+šortiņi), kā arī pāris pārbaudītas vērtības jeb sporta krekliņš un sporta apavi, kas ir kļuvuši par neatņemamu manu dienas sporta aktivitāšu daļu.
Kā jau minēju vienā no septembra bloga ierakstiem, viens no maniem rudens mērķiem bija uzsākt aktīvāku un veselīgāku dzīves veidu, līdz ar to, septembrim sākoties, sāku regulāri skriet. Kaut arī tagad pēc divu nedēļu ceļošanas mans skriešanas ritms ir nedaudz nojucis, līdz šim man izdevās pieturēties pie viena ritma jeb skrēju aptuveni trīs reizes nedēļā. Nemelošu sakot, ka sākums bija ļoti grūts un vēl joprojām ir dienas, kad iziet no mājas un izkustēties galīgi negribās, kur nu vēl skriet. Bet man vislielāko gandarījumu rada sevis pārvarēšana un piespiešana sasniegt vairāk, līdz ar to šo izjūtu izmantoju sevis motivēšanai. Un lieliskā sajūta pēc sevis pārvarēšanas un jaunu mērķu sasniegšanas nepamet mani visu vakaru, ka,s kā jau minēju ir lieliska motivācija arī nākamajā dienā izkustēties un izaicināt sevi.

Even though I've been running for only two months, I wanted to share with you my thoughts and some tips for running in fall:
  • Fall is one of the best seasons to pick up running because of the beautiful fall scenery, which for me, personally, is one of the main motivators to go out for a run. The beautiful scenery also makes my workout more visually beautiful and helps to get over the tough parts of running. And, of course, it is much easier to run in a cooler temperature than it is in the summer heat.
  • Clothes and accessories with reflectors. As the year is coming to an end, the days are becoming much shorter and darker, therefore, you must always make sure that you are wearing clothes and/or accessories that have light reflectors in them. Safety always comes first,
  • Vests are one of the most convenient and comfortable clothing items to wear in fall. I personally don't like running in outerwear (even the one that is meant for running) because I find it a bit uncomfortable and hard to move in. A great alternative definitely is a vest in a combination with a long sleeves top or sweater.
  • Running in the forest. As I already mentioned, running in fall is beautiful, but it is even more beautiful when you are running in a forest as you are even closer to the stunning nature. Forest is also a great place in which to escape the fall showers as well as the gushes of wind. Though, don't leave running in the forest to the second part of the day as the paths tend to get more slippery and there is a bigger possibility to trip over the branches. And, of course, to be alone in a dark forest even when you are running isn't safe either. 
  • Warm up in fall is more important than in summer. Your muscles in the cold weather aren't as flexible as they are in summer, therefore, add extra five minutes to your pre-running warm up. I would suggest to add a five minute of a brisk walk or a light run before you start your real workout.

Kaut arī aktīvu skrienu vien divus mēnešus, šajā rakstā apkopoju pāris ieteikumus/manus novērojumus skriešanai tieši rudenī:
  • Rudens ir lielisks gadalaiks, kad uzsākt skriešanu, jo mani personīgi ļoti motivē skaistie rudens skati, tie padara manu treniņu daudz reiz vizuāli baudāmāku un liek aizmirst par grūtībām. Kā arī nenoliedzami daudz reiz vieglāk ir skriet rudens vēsumā, nekā vasaras svelmē.
  • Apģērbs/aksesuāri ar atstarojošiem elementiem. Gadam ejot uz otru pusi, dienas paliek īsākas un ļoti bieži arī tumšākas, pateicoties biezajām mākoņu segām, līdz ar to vienmēr pārliecinies, ka izvēlētajā apģērbā/aksesuāros ir iestrādāti atstarojošie elementi. Drošībai vienmēr ir jābūt pirmajā vietā.
  • Veste ir no lieliskākajiem sporta apģērba gabaliem rudenī. Man personīgi ļoti nepatīk skriet sporta virsjakās, jo, manuprāt, tās ļoti bieži ir neērtas - it sevišķi čaukstīgās. Superīga alternatīva ir tops ar garām piedurknēm vai džemperis kombinācijā ar vesti.
  • Skriešana mežā. Šis punkts sasaucās ar pirmo punktu, jo daba ir fantastiski skaista rudenī un mežā to izbaudīt ir iespējams vēl pilnvērtīgāk. Jāpiemin arī tas, ka mežs ir lieliska vieta, kur paslēpties no vēja un lietus, kas ir ļoti raksturīgi šim gadalaikam. Bet skriešanu mežā noteikti neatliec uz vēlu vakara pusi, jo ierastās takas var kļūt slidenākas, kā arī ir lielāka iespēja paklupt vai aizķerties aiz nokritušiem zariem. Kā arī, protams, vēlā rudens vakara stundā vienam pašam atrasties mežā nav droši.
  • Iesildīšanās ir vēl nozīmīgāka nekā vasarā. Pirms dodies skrējienā ierēķini vēl aptuveni piecas papildus iesildīšanās minūtes, jo aukstumā muskuļi ātrāk saraujas un tie tik ātri neiesilst. Noteikti vari pamēģināt aptuveni piecu minūšu pastaigu ātrā tempā vai pavisam vieglu skrējienu pirms īstā skrējiena uzsākšanas.

  5. Ahh I love running outside but as I'm a morning person, I wake up early (around 5:30 in the morning) to go running. I get a bit stressed out when I'm running with a lot of people around so I find the best time is when nobody's awake haha!
    I love your workout gear! So chic! Bright colored workout clothes are my jam!

    1. Wow that's really early! I do prefer running in the evenings as it gives me a boost of energy and I don't feel so tired anymore. But I do agree that it's the best to run when it's not too crowded as it is a distraction.
