A super easy way to wear a sweater dress

Grey scarf outfit
When was the last time you felt embarrassed, confused? Since the weather in Latvia has been very unstable - one moment it’s raining, the other it’s snowing; one moment it’s freezing cold, the other there are huge puddles everywhere. So because of that I decided to share with you two stories that happened to me quite recently and both of them are connected with slipping 😊 I think we all know that slipping is not something you should feel super embarrassed about, because it’s happens almost to everybody (I think to me more often than the others 😊). Last weekend me and my boyfriend were shopping for furniture and in between the shopping I had planned a little ootd photo shoot, therefore, I had a fancy outfit on (I wore a gorgeous light pink midi skirt, that you might have seen over my Instastories). Of course, that didn’t go according to the plan, since I slipped right in front of the first furniture shop. It was due the fact that I had my high heel ankle boots on and the pavement was very icy, therefore, slippery. The first thought that ran through my mind was that I need to get up as soon as possible and I prayed that nobody saw me (though, it happened right in front of the shop window). Thankfully my boyfriend was right next to me and helped me to get back up. He had a half smile on his face, because I must agree that I probably looked hilarious 😊, but, of course, to not make him sound like a jerk, he was also worried. I ended up breaking my new bracelet, smudging my new skirt, hurt my arm and back. And of course, also my confidence level dropped to the ground along with my body J
The second situation was even clumsier as I managed to slip in front of tills in my local grocery store right in the rush hour when there were at least 5+ people waiting in the queues. My winter boots get super slippery on flat surfaces and as that day I didn’t have much time for grocery shopping, I was in a hurry and somehow ended up on the floor in front of bunch of people. What kind of shocked me was the fact that not a single person came to help me, they all were just flat out staring. As I was super confused about what just happened, I lied on the ground for a good amount of time, till I understood that I should probably get up. I shakily stood up and tried to salvage  of what's left of my self esteem and tried to brush it off like nothing had just happened.
Do you also feel super awkward and embarrassed in situations like this?

Anyways, I really hope you’ll like my today’s outfit post as I am wearing my two current favorites – a camelcoat and sweater dress. I hope you’ll have a great week!

Ceru, ka Tev patiks man šīs dienas tērpa ieraksts – man mugurā ir vieni no maniem šīs sezonas favorītiem kamieļkrāsas mētelītis, kā arī džemperkleita. Lai izdevusies darba nedēļa!

  5. Maddie,
I am so sorry about those slips! I love your camel coat and sweater, so rich and lovely .
That is terrible that no one helped you, odd as it may seem, New Yorkers are great when someone falls, groups form, one calling 911 and someone tried to get a doctor or nurse ASAP.
I am so sorry your broke your bracelet, and hope you body heal okay.
I wear traction soles with everything, rubber bottoms even on dress shoes.
    Take good care beautiful Maddie.
    xx, Elle

Yeah, so I've heard that Americans truly take hospitality to the next level, it's so nice to know that in case you need help, you'll not be left alone or stared at :D
