Even though I’ve already been in Pisa and got to know it pretty well, I included this city in this summer’s Europe trip, so, yes, I was able to say hi to Pisa tower once again! 😊 The reason why I chose to include this city in our itinerary was because my boyfriend had not seen it yet, otherwise I probably would have chosen another city in Tuscany that I hadn’t seen before. Our visit to Pisa was brief – only an hour ~ an hour and a half as we saw the main places (of course, Pisa tower was a must) and decided that we would actually like to spend the rest of the day in a beautiful city by Liguria sea – Sestri Levante. Ahh, I so fell in love with this city! For me it definitely was one of the highlights of our. The beach was fantastic, the water super warm and the all around surroundings made me think of Canary islands which I love dearly.

I think that any coastline village or city at left side of Italy would have been a great choice. I personally really want to see the small villages of Cinque Terre, but we didn’t include them in this trip since we were traveling with car, which as I read in the forums for sure is not the best mean of transport (a lot of cities deny entrance with cars and the parking is very limited). I already know that I will visit those small villages like Riomaggiore, Monterosso, Manarola, Vernazza by train or ferry which would also would be a great experience as a whole.

Kaut arī Pizā jau vienreiz esmu bijusi un arīdzan krustu šķērsu izstaigājusi pilsētiņu, to apmeklēju vēlreiz, lai pamātu iemīļotajam Pizas tornim 😊 Iespējams šo pilsētu nebūtu izvēlējusies kā vienu no pieturas punktiem, jo to jau esmu vienreiz apmeklējusi, bet tā kā draugs vēl nebija stutējis torni 😊, tad nu iekļāvām arī šo pilsētu mūsu must see sarakstā. Pizā uzkavējāmies vien stundu~ pusotru, jo pēc pieredzes zināju, ka vairāk laika mums nebūs nepieciešams, respektīvi apskatījām galvenos objektus un devāmies tālāk uz Sestri Levante – vienkārši burvīgu Ligūrijas jūras piekrastes pilsētiņu, kurā pavadījām atlikušo saulaino dienas daļu. Respektīvi tā vietā, lai vairāk stumdītos cauri tūristu pilnajai Pizai, mēs nolēmām paņemt nelielu atpūtas pauzi Sestri Levante pilsētiņas pludmalē. Šī pilsēta mani pilnībā apbūra – ļoti jauka pludmale, silts ūdens un apkārtējā vide ļoti atgādināja Kanāriju salas, kas, protams, man ir ļoti mīļas.
Principā man liekas, ka jebkuru no Itālijas kreisā krasta piejūras pilsētiņām ir vērts redzēt.

I do love Pisa, but I kind of prefer other cities in Tuscany better. But, for sure, it is a must visit place!
      Thank you! :*
